About HIVinsight
HIVinsight is an online educational initiative which has been developed by the National HIV Nursing Association (NHIVNA) and Gilead, to support nurses who are working towards Level 2 of the National HIV Nursing Competencies, whether working in a hospital or community setting.
The programme comprises a series of concise tutorials, which you can work through in any order and at a pace and time that is convenient for you, designed to give you a broad understanding of HIV and the challenging role of HIV nursing, including opportunistic infections, antiretroviral therapy and ongoing health promotion.
Each tutorial presents the core information you need, clearly and concisely, together with:

- Practical hints and tips
- Recommendations for further reading
- Sources of further information
- Self-assessments and downloadable certificates
- Reflection points where you can consider how you might apply what you have learnt to your own practice
Completing the whole education initiative will provide approximately 9 hours of CPD towards your PREP requirement.
